I bought three sets of these for my bridesmaids. I have the brown set that I love so much but when they came in they were much lighter than I expected, so I expected the red set to be about the same but they were much darker than what the picture shows. They are almost a burgundy or purple shade. Because the bridesmaids are wearing a small amount of red (just a sash around the waist) the color difference isn’t too bad so they will still use them. Other than the fact that they weren’t quite the right color, these are very beautiful sets!
